I have a wall that is framed I could put a patio door on that enters into my workshop. I was wondering if anyone reading this has ever brought thier car "inside" through a patio door. I am looking at the type that swing out from the sides. I have a VW bus that can be about 6′3" tall and not as wide. The only thing I can think of it might be a little hard on the threshold but I don’t plan on using it as a garage door, bring it in, fix it, roll it out. No running indoors. The space is air conditioned and its on my property.

any ideas? Or sources for "old fashoned" garage doors that would provide decent insulation quality? I cant have a roll up due to stairway configurations. I have found a door my project will fit though for 8.00

I would like to build a rope swing from our dock into the lake. We have no trees near by and our dock does not have a roof so I don’t know what to tie the rope to? Would it be best to make it on the dock or on the patio that is higher up? How should I go about this?

something tells me that can’t be done and has to be done before attaching the rafters to the house…but I don’t know. I’m building a patio cover that is 12×10. it attaches to my house just below the eaves I can put up the 2×6 ledger on the wall…the post in the ground….the rafters…but the problem will be when I start to put up the plywood roofing. I can only nail down the plywood where it’s not under the eaves. I won’t be able to swing the hammer and nail down the approx 24 inches that are under the eaves. I’m also going to have the same problem nailing down the paper and shingles. How is this done?

I want an area to set my swing separate from my patio, so I decided to lay 16×16 square landscaping tile. I am uncertain how to prosede. I was thinking to rototile the soil and put down the landscaping material so weeds don’t come up then put some kind of sand on the top(what kind?) then put the tiles on the sand to be able to level them out, but I am uncertain how to do this, use a level is all I can think of. Just not sure what to do to get everything ready.

I would like to know if there is anything on the market that takes rust spots off of concrete. I am in the process of putting on a concrete sealant on my patio, sidewalk and driveway, but, the patio has some rust spots from a metal swing that is always left on the patio (year round). I have used the concrete cleaner etc. but it is not taking the rust spots off of the concrete pad. Am I missing something? Is there a concrete cleaner that will take off rust from a patio? Is there something simple I can use such as bleach and water on concrete? Thanks for your help.
